DNV Seeks Community Input on Housing Density

As part of updating the Official Community Plan, the DNV is looking for public input on where more housing should be built in the District in coming years. A series of meetings and public information sessions are being held to help the public learn more. Meeting details (extracted from the DNV website) are below.

Background: Recently, the Province implemented legislation that requires municipalities to add more homes, more quickly. As part of that, the Province requires updating our Official Community Plan to provide for 22,369 new homes in the District by 2041. The OCP update must be completed by December 31, 2025.
