Lawn watering prohibited.
See the Water Conservation page for details.

Blueridge Good Neighbour Day is an annual event celebrating what a wonderful place Blueridge is! This year it falls on May 31st, and it is being organized right now.

We’re currently looking for volunteers, and for artists to contribute to an anonymous auction.

More information can always be found here!

The BCA is accepting applications for the Eric Andersen BCA Scholarship through April 30. Those interested in applying should review the full application criteria at the link and submit their application before the deadline. Good luck!

This year, due to the low snowpack and the water supply tunnel replacement happening in Stanley Park, Metro Vancouver is going straight to Stage 2 water use restrictions beginning on May 1.

Most importantly, all lawn watering is prohibited. Let your grass go dormant and return in the fall with the rains

In addition, Metro Vancouver has stated they expect to move to Stage 3 restrictions in early June. (Source. Metro Vancouver press release.)

You can learn more on our Water Conservation Page.

To have any hope of avoiding Stage 3 restrictions, we have to conserve all the water we can.

Please do your part!

May 12: The BCA’s Annual General Meeting

May 12, 7:15 pm, upstairs at Canlan Sports

Come catch up on BCA programs and hear DNV Mayor Mike Little address questions from the audience (unless his schedule changes).

Our local elected leaders sometimes hold meetings with constituents. These can be a great opportunity to ask specific questions or raise issues without going to a council meeting. They bring staff along to help them take notes and track issues that need additional effort or research as well.

If you have a question for these folks, these may be a good resource.

Meet DNV Mayor Mike Little

We add other events as we find out about them. We also put them on the BCA’s Event Calendar.

May 19th, 7pm, at Canlan Sports. We meet upstairs in the dining area.

Stay Cozy with the BCA!

Once a month, the Blueridge Community Association invites you to trade your screen time for some “we” time. Our Cozy Nights are all about slowing down, catching up with old friends, and meeting the neighbours you haven’t had a chance to say hello to yet.

What to expect:

  • Casual Vibes: No agendas, no formal speeches — just good conversation.
  • Drinks & nibbles are available from Wild Wing.
  • Community Spirit: The best way to stay connected to everything happening in Blueridge.

Whether you’ve lived here for twenty years or just moved in last week, there’s a seat (and a glass) waiting for you.

Come for the drinks, stay for the neighbours.

The next Cozy Nights is scheduled for:

  • Jun 16, 7pm, Canlan Sports
