Candidate Forums

While the BCA is a non-partisan organization, we still have a role to play in the election process. When an election approaches, we schedule an all candidate forum so we all can learn more about the various candidates and their positions. When possible we host these forums ourselves or co-host them with other organizations. In some cases we may only be able to share information about forums being held by others.

Regardless of the specifics, the goal is to create a more informed electorate. As a result we all can make more informed choices when we vote.

We’ve facilitated these meetings in the past, and we look forward to doing so again in the future. Here or some of the forums we’ve hosted or shared information about in the past:

• Sep 13, 2021 – Federal All Candidates Meeting. Recording uploaded here.
• Oct 19, 2020 – Provincial Election All Candidates Meeting, hosted virtually
• Oct 15. 2019 – Federal Election All Candidates Meeting at Mt. Seymour Church
• Oct 18, 2018 – DNV Municipal Election All Candidates meeting
• Oct 1, 2018 – Coffee with DNV municipal election candidates
• Oct 15, 2015 – Federal Election All Candidates Meeting at Mt. Seymour Church
• Nov 10, 2014 – DNV Municipal Election All Candidates meeting
• Oct 2014 – Questions posed to DNV municipal election candidates by various community associations. Responses shared with members.

We’ve been involved with similar meetings before these as well.

Covid willing, future all candidates meetings will eb in person, but should virtual meetings still be required we will do it that way.
