Blueridge Good Neighbour Day
This annual community celebration happens in the first half of June. Since 1998 (with the exception of 2020-2022 due to COVID) a dedicated team of volunteers has worked hard to create a fun-filled day for the whole family. The event is open to the general public and is a great place to catch up with friends and neighbours.
Festivities kick off with a parade from the top of Berkley (at Hyannis Drive), ending at Blueridge Elementary School. Families are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, tricycles or strollers and be a part of the parade.
Most activities are free and made possible by our generous donors and a silent auction (cash and credit cards accepted). Proceeds from the silent auction help us cover the costs of the whole event.
Activities Usually Include:
- Live music
- Food trucks
- Inflatables: bouncy castles and slides, Wipe Out
- Kid’s carnival (including crafts and games)
- Community tables – learn about local programs, services and initiatives
- Cake Walk
- Pie Eating Contest
- Silent Auction
- Beer Garden
