Blueridge Good Neighbour Day

Great News!  Blueridge Good Neighbour Day is back in 2023!

Click here for all the details!

This annual community celebration happens the first Sunday in June. Since 1998 a dedicated team of volunteers works hard to create a fun-filled day for the whole family. The event is open to the general public and is a great place to catch up with friends and neighbours.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 we were unable to hold the event in 2020 and 2021. We are looking forward to holding the event in 2022!

Festivities kick off with a parade from the top of Berkley Road (at Hyannis Drive), ending at Blueridge Elementary School. Families are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, tricycles or strollers and be a part of the parade.

Most activities are free and made possible by our generous donors and a silent auction (cash and credit cards accepted). Proceeds from the silent auction help us cover the costs of the whole event.

Activities Usually Include:

  • Live music
  • Food trucks
  • Inflatables: bouncy castles and slides, Wipe Out
  • Kid’s carnival (including crafts and games)
  • Pony rides
  • Community tables – learn about local programs, services and initiatives
  • Cake Walk
  • Pie Eating Contest
  • Silent Auction
  • Beer Garden

More Information:

Blueridge Good Neighbour Day will be announced well in advance here on our website, in our social media feeds, and in the Newsletter and the Bulletin. Be sure to Keep Informed via those sources so you don’t miss a thing!

There will also be chances to volunteer, to donate to the Silent Auction, and rent a community table. Keep an eye out for those as well!

A huge thank you to Neptune Terminals! Here is Michelle Alford receiving the check from Neptune Terminals, one of our biggest sponsors of Blueridge Good Neighbour Day.
