Re: Mount Seymour Parkway & South Lytton St. – Restoration Works – Weekly Update
Dear Residents and Neighbours,
We would like to provide a follow-up to our previous communication and keep the community informed of the upcoming schedule for the final phase of off-site civil works. Next week, our teams will continue with the restoration plan on Lytton St. as previously outlined.
The scope on Lytton St. remains focused on the construction and preparation of the permanent sidewalk at the project frontage. Traffic flow and local access will be maintained at all times; Lytton St. and the Ron Andrews Recreational Centre access ramp will remain fully open.
Additionally, please be advised that on Thursday, July 9th, we are planning a short eastbound curb lane closure on Mt. Seymour Parkway, between Lytton St & Emerson Way. This closure will be in effect from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm to facilitate necessary pruning and landscaping activities in this section.
The safety of our trade partners and the community remains our highest priority. We will continue to implement rigorous safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Scope of Work:
Lytton St.:
- Continuation of construction and preparation of the permanent sidewalk on the east side of Lytton St., adjacent to the project frontage.
Mt. Seymour Parkway:
- Landscape maintenance and pruning activities within the designated curb lane closure (July 9th).
What to Expect:
- Activities on Lytton St. will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
- On July 9th, a short curb lane closure will be implemented on Mt. Seymour Parkway (eastbound) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Various traffic control configurations and lane closures will be implemented as required. Traffic will be maintained at all times to ensure continuous access in and out of Lytton St.
- All crews will be working within designated, controlled areas to minimize impact on the public
An update on expected impacts and further details will be distributed in our next weekly communication.
Thank you for your continued cooperation as we advance these final improvements while minimizing disruptions to the community
Sincerely,
