Baden Park Construction Update

Re: Mount Seymour Parkway – Permanent Restoration Works – Weekly Update

April 17, 2025

Dear Residents and Neighbours,

We would like to inform you that Friday, April 18th (Good Friday), Saturday, April 19th, and Monday, April 21st (Easter Monday) are not working days at Baden Park.

Therefore, we will resume our activities on Tuesday, April 22, working on Mt. Seymour Parkway with permanent restoration work. Please note that Tuesday and Wednesday will be the only days we will be working on Mt. Seymour Parkway; for the rest of the week, we will continue working within the project site, leaving the streets open to normal traffic.

The safety of our trade partners and the community is our foremost priority. We will continue to implement rigorous safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for all.

Scope of Work:

Mt. Seymour Parkway:

  • Tuesday, April 22nd: We will be carrying out restoration work on the median of Mt Seymour Parkway, maintaining a short median lane closure on Mt Seymour Parkway – westbound, between Emerson Way and Lytton Street. This work will be carried out on a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday only. Please plan for potential traffic delays during this time.
  • Wednesday, April 23rd: Permanent restoration works will continue on the south side of Mt. Seymour Parkway. A single-lane closure will remain in effect in the eastbound lane between Lytton Street and Emerson Way. This work will be carried out on a schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday only. Please plan for potential traffic delays during this time.

What to expect:

  • Access to Ron Andrews Rec. Centre from Lytton St. will remain open.
  • Eastbound Bus Stop (54033) at Mt. Seymour Parkway will be affected only from Monday to Friday. The following bus stops beyond this area will remain active. Please plan accordingly.
  • During the permanent restoration works, access to the sidewalk on the south side of Mt Seymour Parkway will be impacted. Pedestrians are advised to use the sidewalk on the north side of the parkway.

An update on expected impacts will be distributed on April 25th.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to minimize disruptions to the extent possible.

Sincerely,
