Building Connections & Community Spirit
I enjoy being involved in my community, and I am passionate about helping other residents find ways to get involved and volunteer.
In addition to being one of our co-chairs, Elmira is our Volunteer Coordinator, which means she oversees the process of getting volunteers to work with the BCA. And she’s always looking for more: Volunteer with the BCA!
Elmira somewhere that isn’t Blueridge!
The Heart of the Community
Why did you decide to join the BCA board? I’ve always enjoyed being involved in the neighbourhood. My main goal during my term is to help other community members find their own path to getting involved. Whether it’s a small task or a larger project, volunteering is what keeps us strong!
What has been your favourite experience with the BCA so far? I have really enjoyed getting to know the Blueridge Good Neighbour Day planning committee. It’s amazing to see the work that goes into such a staple event for our community.
What is the “Blueridge Secret” everyone should know? The microclimates! It’s a classic Blueridge experience in the winter: you can be standing in the rain in lower Blueridge, but walk less than a kilometre up the hill and find yourself in a snowstorm.
