Baden Park Construction Update

March 20, 2026

Re: Mount Seymour Parkway & South Lytton St. – Restoration Works – Weekly Update

Dear Residents and Neighbours,

We would like to provide a brief follow-up and keep the community informed that next week our teams will continue working at the same two locations: on Mt. Seymour Parkway (eastbound) between Lytton St. and Emerson Way, and on South Lytton St. at the Ron Andrews Recreational Centre access ramp. Despite the recent weather conditions, good progress is being made, and our goal remains to complete the restoration works as safely and efficiently as possible.

Traffic on Mt. Seymour Parkway will continue to be managed through an eastbound single-lane closure as required, while always maintaining one lane of travel in both directions; access to South Lytton St. will remain open, however, minor delays may occur. The Ron Andrews Recreational Centre access ramp from Lytton St. will remain closed, and access will continue to be provided via Berkley Rd. through CanLan until further notice.

The safety of our trade partners and the community remain our highest priority. We will continue to implement rigorous safety measures to ensure a safe working environment for all.

Scope of Work:

Mt. Seymour Parkway:

  • Continue with the construction of the permanent sidewalk at the corner of Mt. Seymour Parkway and Lytton St.
  • Various sidewalk and landscape work on Mt. Seymour Parkway eastbound. All works performed within the same curb lane closure

Lytton St:

  • Reconstruction of the driveway letdown for the Ron Andrews Recreational Centre from Lytton St.

What to expect:

  • Activities related to Mt. Seymour Parkway will take place Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • Various traffic control configurations and lane closures will be implemented as required; traffic will always be maintained in both eastbound and westbound directions.
  • Access to South Lytton St. will remain open; however, please expect potential delays.
  • To access the Ron Andrews Recreational Centre, it is necessary to use Berkley Rd through CanLan Sports, as the access ramp from Lytton St. will be under construction. This access ramp will remain closed until further notice. This specific work will be carried out Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • All crews will be working within designated, controlled areas to minimize impact on the public.

An update on expected impacts and further details will be distributed on March 27th.

Thank you for your continued cooperation as we advance these improvements while minimizing disruptions to the community.

Sincerely,
