Welcoming New Residents

Moving to a new home is always stressful. Will the new neighbours be nice? Will the commute to work be too long? Where is the best grocery store? So many questions.

The BCA has a Welcome Committee – in the person of Lesley – who is happy to stop by and welcome new residents to the neighbourhood. She can give you a copy of our neighbourhood brochure and answer questions. She’s been doing this for about seven years (as of this writing in 2021) and greatly enjoys the job!

In 2020 and 2021, these visits were less common thanks to the pandemic, but as conditions improved, they have returned.

If you are new to the neighbourhood or know someone who is, send an email to welcome@blueridgeca.org, and we’ll stop by to say hello! As a rule, these visits don’t happen until about six weeks after new residents have moved in, so you probably won’t still have boxes in your entrance!
