On Saturday Sept 24 MetroVancouver held the LSCR (Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve) Annual Event, attended by 70-80 people. Mike Mayers, (A) Director Watershed/Env Mgt & QC, announced that they are not delaying plans for a bridge replacement. An engineering firm is working on design and the hope is that construction will commence in 2017. Rock breaking (in the rock slide itself) continues, but it could be a number of years (up to five) until they see results from the rock breaking – which is primarily to mitigate the passage of fish around the rock slide.
