It has been a tough year for salmon on the Seymour River. Not only was the river entirely blocked by a landslide in December, now the salmon returning to spawn must contend with extremely low water levels and high water temperatures due to our unusually hot and dry summer. The Seymour Salmonid Society is hosting a Seymour River Clean-up on Sunday Septemeber 27th. If you love salmon, considering coming out to the clean up (which will focus on the Lower Seymour)which takes place on BC Rivers Day.
